Drill chuck cone gauge is a qualitative measuring instrument with a standard smooth cone surface that can reflect the boundary conditions of the inspected inner (outer) cone, and belongs to angle measuring instruments.
Tool classification: Measuring tools are usually classified into three categories based on their purpose: general measuring tools, specialized measuring tools, and special measuring tools.
Measuring tools can also be classified into mechanical, optical, pneumatic, electric, and optoelectronic types according to their working principles. This classification method is formed by the development history of measurement tools. However, some modern measuring tools have developed into measuring tools that combine precision mechanical, optical, electrical and other principles with electronic computer technology. Therefore, this classification method is only applicable to measuring tools with a single working principle.
A feeler gauge, also known as a micrometer or thickness gauge, is one of the measuring instruments used to check clearances. Its cross-section is a right angled triangle with a scale on the hypotenuse. The length of the short side is directly represented on the hypotenuse using the acute angle, so that the size of the seam can be read directly.
Before using the feeler gauge, check the dirt and dust on the gauge and workpiece. When using, one or several overlapping pieces can be inserted into the gap to avoid slight dragging. When measuring, the action should be light and hard insertion is not allowed. It is also not allowed to measure parts with high temperatures.
1. The section method cone gauge is commonly used for measuring the inner cone of single or composite cones with larger diameters, especially in the industry, such as important parts of manufacturing bullet chamber workpieces, as shown in Figure 1. The section method gauge is used to inspect conical workpieces (see Figure 2) by using the measuring head, engraved line on the main gauge or the engraved line or boundary cutting edge on the auxiliary sample ring gauge to check the given cone section diameter dimension D_1 and cone section position dimension X of the conical workpiece, so as to meet the taper requirements. It is mainly used to inspect workpieces with inner cones. The comparison between the section method gauge and the cone synthesis method gauge has the following characteristics: (1) it can inspect single cones and composite cones. (2) Capable of inspecting workpieces with larger and deeper inner cone diameters.
